I thought Leopold was wrong for what he did in the Congo - and I thought that opinion was pretty uniform - but free speech reigns, I suppose. Just weird timing with all of the Congolese issues these days. Seemed like piling on.

The Belgians and their Heart of Darkness colony was like the participation award of colonies. I mean who lets the Belgians have a colony? At least when the Dutch got theirs, they were a legit world economic power due to cool shoes, tulip futures and superior Calvinist work ethic. What the fuck has Belgium ever dun besides making some of the worlds best bier?
