I’ve never said he’s a good OL coach. No OL we have had has been very impressive. They looked pretty good last year and all returned so I was optimistic. It’s nice to see the regression.
 
The assistants and their units are only symptoms. There was zero spark in any facet. That team looked like they must have sleep walked through fall camp. Nobody looked prepared.. Nobody looked fast. Nobody looked fired up. Nobody looked good. Whole units didn't even look competent at times.

Against Montana.

That was the worst UW team I've seen take the field since 2008. Pointing the finger at assistant coaches seems like a waste and really not fair. It's systemic and yet another illustration of how it starts and ends with the head man.

Why should they?

It was just 2.5 years ago they were in the Rose Bowl and their head coach told them that he didn’t care about that.

We suck dick. It’s really mostly WR recruiting, QB play, and the worst OC i have ever seen this side of Jeremy Bates that are really to blame. The OL was just eh. Should have been better but yeah.
