NO DOUBT IN MY MIND that Fisch is the perfect coach to get us through this offseason and the upcoming year. My only hesitation is that he might be a bit too focused on long term as opposed to making a huge impact the first year. (I am conveniently ignoring that there is zero OL or DL talent currently in the portal).
That and he looks like a bit of a carpet bagger in that wrinkled suit.
It is coming together quite nicely and by the time fall camp rolls around we? will have a pretty decent roster with halfway serviceable lines. Hopefully, he'll hire a defensive coaching staff by then.
spring portal might bring a starter or two. It’s left overs and I’m not sure why it’s being viewed as anything other than helping to field a team. Some of these leftovers could truly be talented guys who will be instant impact and just didnt get the chance.
I’m going to be focused on who they pick up and what that says about talent evaluation. Then I’ll be interested to see if they’re coaching to the players strengths for scheme or trying to cram square pegs into round holes.

The idea that UW is going to be able to fill out its absent OL/iDL with 6+ decent 2 deep guys in the spring that can make it through a full season in the B1G is pretty absurd.
Even more when Fish didn't land the big fish from Arizona or and failed to keep many of the UW guys home… The pillage party was a big THUD, he isn't going to suddenly be spectacular at it in Spring.

the goal for next season, unless we get a sudden influx of experienced lineman on both sides is probably 7 wins … and that way be a real stretch.
of course I will be surly until we see double digit wins again but it may be a season or two, Fisch is a good builder but not through the portal.
