I’d kill for the Navy OC. If the new guy isn’t going to call plays at least pay 900K to a coach that can teach how to run a fucking zone read option. Williams was not good at that. Not at all. Look who was trying to teach him, Judd, Jimmy D and JP Losman. None of whom have ever really coached/run that type of shit before. Maybe Demond told Judd what he really thought of the offense when he was forced to come back. Fingers crossed but I won’t hold my breath.

Tulsa is just OKC with slightly stronger regional ties to OSU than OU. Oklahomans have nothing of interest outside of high school and college football.

I went on a job interview in Oklahoma many years ago (multi-day trip). Everyone who interviewed me had a photo of their kid dressed in football gear. Two had pictures of their son playing football at OU. No joke. I live in Texas and those Oklahoma folks are every bit as crazy as the mofos down here.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the gimp job in Oklahoma and had to go back to Texas. Hopefully your boxes are bigger in Texas at least.

I was offered the job but declined. I lived in Maryland at the time and ended taking a job in Texas. It was a big change moving here but nothing compared to what it would have been moving to Oklahoma. F that state.

I will say, as someone who doesn't go into Portland much anymore (mainly just happy valley if at all), that it *appears* to be as normal as it's been since before COVID in the city proper.

Mrs flatus 2.0 and I took a 10-day vacation to Oregon last September. Awesome trip. Her 1st time to PNW. She loved it. Weather was incredible. Spent our last night in downtown Portland. Homeless situation wasn't good but typical of every west coast city.

We're going back for a WA trip this September. Hoping to spend one night in Gorst.
