True story. He habitually let Sark stay in games for a quarter plus before stepping on his neck...only to let up early and keep the score semi respectable.
Truth was that Oregon could have beaten all five Sark teams by a combined 250 points without breaking a sweat.
I recall going to the 2008 game at Autzen and feeling good when UW went into halftime down maybe a field goal, IIRC. Ended up losing something like 42 - 10 and got shut out in the second half.
I can't remember which year, but there was one in HS that looked pretty good early. UW made a stop or two and had scored. Then they had Oregon like 4th and 25 near mid field. It actually felt like all the momentum was going our way and the dwags has come to okay that day. You could hear the crowd getting stirred up.
Then Masoli floated a 30 yard pass over the middle to an open duck to convert. That was it. Avalanche. I remember lamenting that conversion...if only UW had made that stop it could've been so different lol.
