Dan Lanning pretty much wrapped up the Fake Tough Guy Award this weekend by publicly calling out SEC teams with 4+ top 25 wins for playing "Chatanooga State". Meanwhile, Oregon's marquee wins include beating aUSC team at home that lost to Illinois and beating a 4-loss Iowa team on a last second field goal.

I don't care for the miserable fuckstick but he has a point re: the SEC schedule. The B1G has clearly been better than the SEC for a couple of years (before this year-2025 is not definitive either way, yet) and they invented the idea of good teams not playing good teams (especially in conference but outside as well).
I scoffed at Cig doing the same thing. But he has pretty much backed it up.
BTW those 4+ top 25 teams are ridiculously propped up by ESPN, the SEC and their fellators.
I do believe that the B1G needs to split into divisions and play all eight other teams within and rotate one against the other division every ninth year. This current shit does not market well.
The Big 10 schedules outside of Wisconsin are jokes. None of the coaches have any business calling anyone else out.

The next good defense Riley has will be his first. He’s not in the Big 12 where he can outscore everyone.
Fisch’s defenses at Arizona got better each year and UW has as well. Now he needs an offense which I think will get better as the OL and Demond mature.

The offense sucking when the defense got good and vice versa happened because neither were ever very good. We aren’t in the Ty and Sark years. I loved Deboer and he is a winner, but Fisch didn’t start with much and despite what you think, you can’t snap your fingers and portal in studs at every position.
