He can salvage it with good agility testing. He’s destined for the slot and can probably survive without being a burner.4.49 for jmac… yikes.
Not amazing. Nobody ever really gets knocked for being under 4.5 though.4.49 for jmac… yikes.
you would have to think these guys one they are going to test before they ever declare. If not they should. Barring a miracle at this point he probably cost himself a bunch of money by declaring.DJ ran a 4.68. I don’t think anyone thought he was going to light up the 40, but that’s not a great result for him. I always felt like he was a guy who would have made more money via NIL than chasing a job in the NFL. Hope I’m wrong.
Based on his testing he’s going to be lucky to land a practice squad position. What’s that pay, like $150k a year with a high likelihood of being completely washed out within a few years? It seems like he could have gotten a pretty favorable NIL deal next year and still been in the same spot in terms of his draft status/future.Based on what we know right now about UW’s offense, DJ’s age and situation, his penchant for leg injuries and the dime-a-dozen nature of running backs in the NFL, I’d say he made the right decision. I can’t see a scenario at this point where he improves his lot by spending another year in school.
Not splitting time with the guy from Arizona and Davis, et al. No guarantees with new coaching staff. He was Grubb’s guy.Based on his testing he’s going to be lucky to land a practice squad position. Did anyone ever think he had big top end speed? I always thought he was a middle of the field guy.4.49 for jmac… yikes.
I thought he just had decent speed...fast enough to stay ahead of an average DB if he got a couple of steps on them. He wasn't really blowing by guys though.Did anyone ever think he had big top end speed? I always thought he was a middle of the field guy.4.49 for jmac… yikes.
Chris Johnson is the only guy that posted a top time to actually amount to something. There was a tweet on the fastest 40 times ever at the combine and none of them including our own John Ross really lit it up in the NFL. Worthy won't either. You have to catch the ball
Other than Tyreke Hill the great wideouts to day run precise routes and catch the damn ball. McMillen should be able to do that very well
