He started to say he was “confident” Johnson would be ready Saturday, then he said “not confident but optimistic.”

I’d be surprised if he plays. Maybe this is the big set up for the rising of Dick Newton in his 14th Apple Cup?

Dick is obviously not able to play effectively right now. Could be his shoulders or could be he just sucks but it'll be Nixon and Tybo splitting reps. Tybo is just not consistent enough to bell cow right now and Nixon has been very solid

I've heard he sucks at blocking pass rushers and that is a non-negotiable for DeBoer

Could be pass blocking issues connected to shoulder injury but yeah whatever the case that makes sense

Grubb addressed this during the presser. He said it’s mostly been a knee issue.
