I do love how this forum loves Heims becuase he looks tuff and played a tuff 15 minutes all year

He showed potential. It's not good when potential contributors get hurt.

Senseless mockery of nothing pgos.

Im not gloating that he got hurt, he was good depth, but this place definitely can fall in love with players because they look the part - like Dom Hampton

I'm judging him on the 15min I've seen him play, not what he looks like. People forget that BBK was 5'2" and 149lbs, people forget that.

Yeah I see what you mean. Hampton did get on the field and played impressively in the COVID season though. His ineptness last year surprised me.

My Babs story. More a Slick Rick story, but Babs was the catalyst.

1999 winter (Feb or March), on my recruiting trip after watching a morning practice. Go to breakfast with Bob Ernst, Fred Honebein, Dave Calder (future 4 time Olympian and silver medalist) and maybe some other dudes. I ask something about the athletic department and the new football coach, since Slick had been hired a couple of months before. Ernst volunteers "We were in an AD meeting last week, where the AD makes us say 1 positive thing our teams have done in the past week. It's stupid. Neuheisel says "at least we haven't had any infractions this week"".

Fucking Rick
