I like Grubb a lot. I mean, at least until I hate him.

Yeah, I really like that Grubb is no nonsense. In one of his first interviews he essentially said "the RB position group we inherited sucks"

Glad they got that Wayne Tupatalu guy because it sounds like Dumas isn't any good either. H's a band aid at this point but better than what we had. It's also crazy that Will Nixon is the #2 guy right now. Freshman WR transfer that didn't play last year

Yeah, I really like that Grubb is no nonsense. In one of his first interviews he essentially said "the RB position group we inherited sucks"

Glad they got that Wayne Tupatalu guy because it sounds like Dumas isn't any good either. H's a band aid at this point but better than what we had. It's also crazy that Will Nixon is the #2 guy right now. Freshman WR transfer that didn't play last year

Taulapapa was also a captain on the UVa team, so he also can fill a leadership roll on the offense that would otherwise be lacking. That's important for the coaches in establishing a new culture and creating an example for the younger players to strive for.

That said, I hope he's productive since his UVa film wasn't super exciting. He must be charismatic to be voted captain when he wasn't a starter in 2021.

I watched a few uva games last year. He looked pretty crappy as a playmaker. Too bad we couldn’t get their qb. We never get nice things.

I hope Rosengarten gets the nod at LT against Kent State. He's gonna start at tackle sooner or later, would be nice to see him on the field and making progress.

Taulapapa is not an explosive athlete, hopefully he's consistent and gets what blocked, I don't think there's a lot more we can hope for.

I think he might end up sharing snaps pretty extensively with Nixon if he's as good catching out of the backfield as the coaches say.

Really curious how they'll split the reps at RB, but Taulapapa was able to pick up first downs on third-and-short. Would be nice to have someone able to reliably convert on short yardage instead of going to that crappy wildcat.

I think Sam Adams is going to be the guy at rb eventually, and will split carries with the UVA back first 1/3 of the season.

The only question has always been who the #2 will be. I suppose Huard is probably done at UW if it's Morris and that's what makes it somewhat meaningful.
