I recall Austin Joyner made a comeback in some spring football league last year after having to medically retire from UW.

Latu had a severe neck injury, and I imagine that Latu may be at a higher risk for permanent physical injury if he were to return.

Joyner had concussion issues that may have resolved, which is probably why he returned after sitting out a few years.
