Husky Jacks open thread [2021]

Sirmon was actually in the right place a lot last year and didnt make the play. If he actually converts he should be a solid starter. If he keeps whiffing sacks and TFLs sit his ass next to Turner

Fuck off with this noise. Sirmon made Cort Dennison look like an All-American, lumbering and lead-footing his way to getting blown up in his attempts to meet the blocker or ball. Slower than Manure. I’m so tired of people saying he has “good instincts” and “high IQ” etc. Dude’s run fits and inability to drop into coverage last year made him one of the worst Husky LBs I’ve ever seen.

He's fucking horrible. Slow, weak, and stiff does not an effective linebacker make and another year isn't going to cure it.

Sure. But a critical part of a middle linebacker's game is being in position and filling the right gap. Sirmon was actually really good in that regard. And then sucked at literally everything else.

I cant wait to get super excited about the projection of Dom Hampton being a one man wrecking crew flying all over the defensive backfield, taking people's heads off, knocking ball's loose, grabbing pick-6's... only to have him turn out to actually suck worse than Asa Turner.

Disagreed with the TBS crowd who crowned Dom the next great corner. Had the coaches said Dom is a dude and the next great Husky SS/WIL, recalling the late 80's/early 90's I'd say "LFG."

A 2021 Dawg SS is sort of a 1990 WIL.

Maybe this staff gets it. Probably not, but anyways.

Well that's too hot of a take for my blood. That would suggest Morris or O'Brien are tanking, and we've already seen the former establish himself as a gamer.

Yeah agree. I see UW winning a lot of games this year no matter who the starter is so I think he needs to win it in camp.
