Husky Jacks open thread [2020]

It's a strange feeling to still have that blind camp optimism while the rest of the country is discovering their team sucks

Offseason always greater than season

Bonner was creaming in his pants when he was talking about Cam Davis today on the Go Huskies Show, starts at 1hr 21 minutes. Says he is just different with everything he does. Later Dawgman posted their podcast and Kim “goes out on a limb” and says Cam Davis “might” be kind of good. Brilliant work.

Different[/i] different?

Night and day different.

Yes he did say these things, but what these reporters won't tell you, is what Malloe said about Faatui Tuitele!

Basically that the injury has held him back from being physically where they like him, but that his mind for the game is easily his best gift. Says he knows the entire front 7's jobs and assignments, and during the scrimmage and practices he is regularly calling out OL assignments and whether it's a run or pass based on the way the linemen are setting up. Kid is going to be really good.

Oh and this was against the offensive 1's because Malloe wanted to see how the freshman would do against the starters. Apparently Bandes was putting in work against Wattenburg and made some really good plays to stuff some runs.

Did Tuitele get the surgery? Seems kind of dumb to try and play with one good pec.

Lake mentioned the Titans vs Bills game as what he wants his offense to look like. Mentioned Henry.

Talked about how Newton is up to 210, Davis is 205, Pleasant is 230, and Sunday is 200. Adams is 195 and then McGrew is the only small back.

Ale is 355 and Bain is 335. Plans on wearing defenses out.
Yikes. Does he know how many Derrick Henry's there are in the world? 1

Apparently the secret this year is that the running backs are under strict instruction to figure out which direction is downhill and run in that direction

The roster photos got updated this morning for every player on the team, which I don’t think they’ve ever done.

Of note, 2 players didn’t get a new photo taken. Sam Adams and Jack Yary
