WTFK? Dressing up pre-season rankings as a metric is completely asinine. Do your subjective, eye test rankings, don't pretend there's some statistical basis for them.

I really havent watched them enough for learned enough about their roster to do an eye test. I'm not a good fan like that. I'm asking for my friends here to form my subjective opinion for me.

I get that. They seem to be winners in the big games. Roster wise they dont seem amazing to me. These preseason rankings seem to generally be roster based except when they're just based on last year's record.

So are they top ten because they won the rose bowl or because of who they have returning? A combination? I'm really asking, not trying to dismiss or mock.

Its the off season natty. Oregon has been pimping their image for 20 years now and has had enough success to warrant the auto inclusion in the pre season stuff

They also have far out recruited the rest of the league, allegedly, again with perception being the reality

I'm reading that their defense may be the best since the 85 Bears.

The doddering old fools and duck fans in Husky Marketing are too busy grinding out GRIND tweets to notice

The average fans would be shocked to learn that UW out ranked Oregon in one recruiting ranking and that the number of chips is about equal. Because they keep winning and we don't
