So I was thinking about this randomly this afternoon.

I’m not predicting this is going to happen, so don’t twist, but think I would die if the Huskies come out and throw it 40 times and Lake wears a hat in his next presser that says Throw The Damn Ball.

I wouldn't have guessed he threw that many downfield.

The ones I do remember other than the third down conversion to Ty Jones were definitely uncatchable.

Same. I only remember the "what the hell was that!?" deep ball and the sideline pass to Nacua that sailed five yards over his head and the wefs bailed him out.

There was a 12-15 yarder to a receiver at the sidelines towards the end of the 1Q that he threw at his feet.

I didn't watch again, but on that one--assuming we're thinking of the same pass--I thought his arm may have been bumped by the rush and messed with the release. Could be wrong.

I don't think any of Morris throws were uncathable. Every single one was put in a perfect place for his recievers to make a highlight reel catch.
 
That was an aboriginal moment for the fan base... humility in the face of greatness. It was fucked up because we were ranked #1 for like 6 weeks in a row and EVERYONE knew that we were the best team in the country. It was like that, bitches. It definitely fueled the following year where the talent disparity was not as great but we finally were number 1, no questions asked.

We were literally never #1 in 1990. Highest we got in either pole was #2 in both the week of the UCLA game. Was so incredibly painful because #1 ND also lost that week.

yes, I stand corrected, after looking back in history, it was the 1992 season that I was thinking of Where we were 8 and O and repeatedly ranked number 1... my bad, wrong year...

Lake mentioned today that True Freshman Cooper McDonald in fall camp played both ILB and OLB and played with a lot of confidence. He said he kept making sacks or TFLs and just acted like he expected to perform like that. Expects to play him a lot this season.

The top 25 is ludicrous. I'm not even saying we're that amazing but I think we would easily beat at least ~10 of the teams in the Top 25. I get why it is the way it is but come on. Tulsa, Louisiana, Liberty, Northwestern, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, BYU, Cincinnati...
