Husky Jacks open thread [2019]

Caple with Softy:

Jacob Eason has started to separate in his mind.

He has been taking care of the ball better than Haener. Typically if there is a turnover, it has not come from Eason. Also, the coaches continue to preach taking more chances down the field (now that they fucking can BROWNING YOU FUCK). Caple has said that according to what he's heard, at least 2 or 3 times per practice Eason makes a throw that makes everyone look at each other and say "whoa".

So while the coaches keep saying there hasn't been a huge separation to this point, there is a QB who has been more consistent throughout camp.

Taking care of the ball and taking what the defense gives him, with a sprinkling of pushing the ball down the field and giving his playmakers chances. What the fuck else could you ask for from a QB when given this defense and this level of skill players on the offense.

He also said he expects Pete to split the reps against Eastern. Fuck us if that happens.

They’ll be 50/50 in snaps against EWU.

Skinny starts, we score 5 - 6 times in the first half, EWU scores maybe once.

Enter the Haener at start of 3rd for lots of snap, turnaround 3-7 steps, hand the ball off with the occasional pass thrown in to keep it interesting.

Brent Musburger was the worst. Damon Hugh-ard out of Pooeyallup Washington.

Or the jackass whose kid played at Michigan. Pally-yoop[/QUOTE]

Bob Griese? or Tim Brandt?

Or maybe Brandt’s kid played at UCLA. Either way he sucked too and I hated his calls in 2000 and the 2001 Rose Bowl.

Griese, thanks. One dad's friends hated Griese on Husky games ferociously.

Forgot about Griese. How does a pro like Musburger mispronounce both the players name and his home town? Used to drive me mad. Guess he was too busy staring at the players girlfriends and doing the lawnmower to do his research.

Again, if I was corch, Puka would be starting. He looks different different.

I’m really hoping he gets solid playing time and a chance to establish himself. He’s a beast.

I think his playing time progression will look a lot like Hunter Bryant’s from his freshman year. Not a ton of “meaningful” snaps during the first several games, but eventually a main part of the offensive rotation by the time we reach game 6 or 7

I'm dooging so bad about our secondary it's making me feel dirty. The floor is between good and great. My idea of the ceiling was just running through my head and it was too embarrassing to share.
