There’s still time for them to Cuog itBetween the football and basketball B1G records for UW, have the coogs ever had a better season in both?
Unacceptable for the result? Or unacceptable by how they played? If so, please be specific as I haven't watched them playCompletely unacceptable game.
It's not going to be the first game where Sprinkle decided to clean out every player but 1-2 to free up minutes for his incoming class, but it's going to stand out in his mind when it happens.
My assumption, because I also do not watch them, is they got blown out at home by Nebraska (who have never been shit at hoops) and so the result is what's unacceptable.Unacceptable for the result? UW was up by 10 at halftime and then got completely skull fucked by like 20+ in the second half.Unacceptable for the result? Or unacceptable by how they played? If so, please be specific as I haven't watched them playCompletely unacceptable game.

Without looking at our remaining ~6 games I think we're done anyways. Penn State is probably a close win but then we're .500 in our last 4 going up against Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Penn St? Yeah, this team isn't good enough to make the B1G tournament and not sure I want a rematch with like MSU or Purdue anyways.State Penn is as bad as we are. Can we win three time zones away???????
I've only watched parts of two games. We looked bad against WAC Seattle U and sort of decent against Gopher.
They’re 4-10 in league, tied with NW and Minnesota, both of whom UW beat. They’re a game up on Pedo, whom UW beat and a game behind Rutgers whom they play in Seattle next week. If this flawed team, that can’t shoot a lick, makes the B10 tournament I’d call that a pretty good coaching job by Sprink. Agree with your earlier assertion that Sprinkle spent his money on the wrong guards. If he’d kept Pondexter they’d still have Yates who’s playing really well at USC. That kid would have made a huge difference. Harris is just a skinny sophomore and needs 10-15 pounds of muscle. IMHO he’ll make a big leap next year.Without looking at our remaining ~6 games I think we're done anyways. Football gets a legitimate pass for the circumstances but Sprinkle had a head start on his UW tenure and has a dedicated booster and pretty much owns this season. I'm still dooging for the guy, he still seems like a good coach who maybe all these mid major seniors tuned out for some reason.
Obviously huge win to pull ahead in the last 3-4 minutes. Ugly, terrible game but still. They’re 4-10 in league, tied with NW and Minnesota, both of whom UW beat. 100%. I posted my comment on being tied with Minnesota when they were down 13 to USC. That game tightened everything up for UW. Fucking Mussleman, Conroy and QPon just can’t do UW a solid. Rutgers is almost a play in game for the B10 tournament. I’ll be watching.Obviously huge win to pull ahead in the last 3-4 minutes. Yeah what's keeping UW alive right now is that we beat most if not all of other other shitty teams we're going up against.
It really fucked us that USC lost to mother fucking Minnesota at home last night.
Next game is the the most critical of the season imo because it's the last team we need a tie breaker over and a win should jump us over ~3 teams and get us in the tournament. Lose it and we're too dependent on everyone else sitting the bed around us.
Yeah I watched quite a bit of the Oregon Iowa game before ours.I give this team a 19% chance of winning that Iowa game on the road. TSIO
I get being checked out. It’s been a long, mediocre slog for over a decade. If you took the time to watch you’d see that unlike previous staffs, Sprinkle can actually coach. The Huskies switch from man to various zones on defense depending on personnel and fouls. Both defenses seem fairly competent which is a nice change to see as a fan. On offense they run a motion offense, run actual plays out of that offense and those plays often result in open shots. As you are aware by now if you’ve read any of the threads on UW basketball, this team can’t shoot, so the work rarely pays off. Lastly unlike the Hopkins or Romar runs this team has some out of bounds plays that get guys open. Weird I know. That’s new to me as a long time Husky hoops fan. Better, more athletic players are on the horizon. The handful of guys that stick around for next year will make a leap. That’s a Sprinkle thing, guys get better. This team is frustrating for sure but the bones of a good program are taking shape. Be patient. It’s hilarious how you guys (HH) refer to Penn St as Pedo.
I saw we had a decent lead vs Rutgers at half and looked again on my espn app that they lost, same as Nebraska a few games back.
Hopefully sprinkle makes a big (no pun) jump next year because I have mostly been checked out of basketball for years. Really be great to see Husky Hoops have a couple tournament runs in my late years.![]()
I haven’t watched Iowa this year. I assume they’re full of white shooters as usual? UW struggles with great athletes so maybe the Huskies have a shot to bully these guys a little. They seem to play alright on the road against teams that aren’t hyper athletic. Maybe they’ve got a shot. Also, Is it the first game of the road trip? If so I’ll stick with my 19% prediction. They tend to lay an egg in the first game and regroup for the second. You’re right though, this is another huge game.Yeah I watched quite a bit of the Oregon Iowa game before ours.I give this team a 19% chance of winning that Iowa game on the road. TSIO
Iowa doesn't have two freshman future NBA players so we'll see.
