Hunter to plead guilty to tax evasion and gun charges?

6 U.S. Code § 7202 - Willful failure to collect or pay over tax
U.S. Code
prev | next
Any person required under this title to collect, account for, and pay over any tax imposed by this title who willfully fails to collect or truthfully account for and pay over such tax shall, in addition to other penalties provided by law, be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than $10,000, or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both, together with the costs of prosecution.

(Aug. 16, 1954, ch. 736, 68A Stat. 851.)

Whoosh!

(No one claimed it couldn't be prosecuted as a felony, Mildred. The question was what happens in practice.)

Oh

Federal law prohibits knowingly making any false statement in connection with purchasing, or attempting to purchase, a firearm. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) requires prospective firearm buyers to complete ATF Form 4473. This Form requires buyers to answer several questions, including those about the buyer’s competency, criminal history, drug use, immigration status, and history with domestic violence. Applicants who knowingly make false statements may also face criminal prosecution for a felony and up to 10 years in federal prison.

Yeah but Mildred!!!!!

JOSHUA DAVID MOSELEY, 31, of Harrah, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty on September 6, 2022, to making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm. According to public record, Moseley attempted to purchase a firearm from Super Pawn #2 Inc., in Oklahoma City. Moseley checked “no” for having been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. Public records show that, on January 6, 2022, Mosely was convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault and battery in Oklahoma County District Court case CM-2021-1377. At sentencing, Moseley faces up to 10 years in federal prison.

"Hey, Josh, this is your attorney. Don't worry, man, this thing doesn't get prosecuted. I have a good buddy in Seattle that says so. So we have nothing to worry about."

Imagine getting a lighter sentence than a trespasser. Also no solitary confinement and no bail instead of being denied even the possibility of bail. Imagine it all being done on the QT and not being charged for running around naked with his 6 year old niece on a leash. That's just the one photo we know about. This guy in on video committing about a million felonies and admitting to many more many that include daddy and not a fucking minute in jail.

Cuba does better.

Our smarter readers (both of them) will immediately see the distinctions between this case and the Hunter Biden case.

So you're saying it's subjective? Try steel manning your arguments.

Tucker nailed it comparing Hunter to Saddam's sons.

Remember when the US killed the two sociopaths and Charles Rangel cried that "they murdered those two boys!"

The DOJ is so corrupt their own website says they can’t give the sweetheart deal they just gave the crackhead pedophile son of the dementia patient.

We live in a #BananaRepublic…you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

Bidens are crooked as all hell, but as far as I know he didn't brandish or use a firearm. The irony is that items 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 are all theoretically on the table given the bribes, laundering, and other related foreign antics.

It's also not a problem to lose a gun, and then claim you have no idea how it ends up in a trash can next to a school. You gals are complaining about that? Pathetic.
