Depends on who you think are the top five.I don't follow the NBA at all, so I may be way out of my depth here but, aren't 3/4 or 3/5 top NBA players Europeans, i.e. they are listed as from either Greece or some Slavic country? Sad!
It’s an uncertain future as well. While the NBA continues to grow internationally, it’s a dying brand in the United States. Will the international growth outpace the US decline? I would be concerned about what the franchise valuations will be in the next 5-6 years. Paying super max deals might not make financial sense.I know it's a joke but he knew this was coming when he sold his majority stake to a family that only ever wanted in to legalize gambling in Texas and build a new massive Casino/Arena.
Doncic is on a level where he owns whatever franchise he's on for the foreseeable future. That's what the NBA essentially agreed to with their stars.
These people weren't having it and it's not about the GM or being out of shape or any of that.
I've had the same thought for awhile. The international market has to be what's keeping it afloat with the ratings collapsing. I also don't think that international audiences have limitless growth without relocating teams abroad. It’s an uncertain future as well. I think that trade was rigged by the NBA to lift up LebronDon't sleep on my Lakers. The NBA is Fantastic once again. LeBron and Luka has me watching again
I mean, every 80+ game regular season is essentially dead nowadays. Only the enthusiasts will put that kind of time into any league like that. It’s an uncertain future as well. I haven't followed it and looked at the standings this morning. Was very disappointed to see OKC doing so well.I mean, every 80+ game regular season is essentially dead nowadays. They are probably going to draw a great Finals this year ratings wise with either the Lakers, Nuggets, or Thunder/SGA playing Boston. Then they got lucky with a 2.X billion TV deal that made no sense whatsoever for ESPN to go do.
If they continue to do stupid shit like all their political branding or expanding for no reason then they'll convert to fully being something that only people in a few major cities care about. Just like loser assand

They have the most loaded roster in the league, almost all under 25, and a number of quality draft picks that you'd expect at a team that had been tanking for multiple years. It's not even close how well set up they are compared to everybody else in the league.I haven't followed it and looked at the standings this morning. The Mavs' new owners probably put some bowling lane oil on the court to ensure Irving blew out his knee as the final nail in the coffin to moving that team to Vegas.Kyrie Erving tore his ACL and is done for the season. Adding Anthony Davis and his 40 missed games a year should help
Just nuked that franchise
