Yes. Fundraising and football. This is what Damon does. He's done it for years with multiple ADs. He's working in the exact position you would want a up-and-coming AD to work in in today's college football. This is not like Lynn Swann who fell up into USC AD after co-owning a failed arena football team in Pittsburgh. Let's not equate the two. This is not a learning on the job type of situation. Damon has been doing that already for years. He works in the UW AD office, fer chrissakes. Damon knows this program and the AD office better than any of these other guys. He will care and he will stay. I can't figure out the logic behind dismissing him. Maybe he's not your first choice, I could probably get behind Barnes or Chun, but Damon should definitely be in the mix.

Admittedly, I don’t know enough about Huard but he’s never struck me as the brightest bulb in the socket.
This isn’t the time for a learning-on-the-job type but perhaps UW is in a place where it takes what it can get.

Huh? Caple is a fucking sportswriter, he doesn't work for the UW AD, and those weren't "his" choices, he was simply reporting on who he heard were the finalists last time around. JFC.

I was responding to the trusting Caple more than Brock thing, whatever that means. Clearly Caple and Brock aren't calling the shots, and if my drunk ass implied that, well, fuck me. I'll take the L. I'm just here to support Damon's election bid, drink PBR, and watch basketball.

I'm not sure Damon wants the job. Seems like his gig is pretty cush now and he also has his winery with Marino.

If Brock thinks his brother is the #1 option, I'm assuming Damon might have interest. Maybe they hate eachother and this is a sibling goof but I kinda doubt it.

AOG: I didn't notice before on the video but I see huard looking like he gave up pursuit of wheaton when he seemed to still have an angle. I tend not to read race.

I think Huard's body language was just "fuck it, we lost"
 
I look at Damon and Will Conroy the same way. If you really want that job, do it at a lower tier school and be successful. Then you’ll be a great choice.
