Yes. Fundraising and football. This is what Damon does. He's done it for years with multiple ADs. He's working in the exact position you would want a up-and-coming AD to work in in today's college football. This is not like Lynn Swann who fell up into USC AD after co-owning a failed arena football team in Pittsburgh. Let's not equate the two. This is not a learning on the job type of situation. Damon has been doing that already for years. He works in the UW AD office, fer chrissakes. Damon knows this program and the AD office better than any of these other guys. He will care and he will stay. I can't figure out the logic behind dismissing him. Maybe he's not your first choice, I could probably get behind Barnes or Chun, but Damon should definitely be in the mix.I think Damon would do well. Fundraising and placing a premium on football is most important.
I’m sure they’ll get another person not from the left coast, so we can have this conversation again in a year or two
