Huard: Who are and aren’t realistic UW Huskies AD candidates

Brock doesn't know shit. The 4 candidates in the prior search, according to Caple, were the Toad from Tulane, Houston AD Chris Pezman, Delaware AD Chrissi Rawak, and Virginia deputy AD Ed Scott. I'd take Caple's word over Brock's any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Caring helps a lot, people who are passionate about what they do are more likely to succeed, but they also need to be good at what they do, period.
I know Damon has experience with the progrum in a schmoozing capacity, so that means he will be a good choice to hire the next basketball coach?
They aren't mutually exclusive, obviously, but wouldn't it be nice to hire someone who has experience doing well at both things?

his No. 1 is an absolute shocker
lmfao I clicked to make a joke about Damon being the candidate. Is this real life?

That worked out well. Let's roll with Caple's choices again. Maybe we can get another bald interim AD? One can only hope. That way we can prepared in September for our real bald hire.

If y'all took Damon Huard and named him Joe Cuntingham, with no relation to the program, you'd likely be fine with it, by the sounds of it. FOH. Get the best man for the job. If it's Huard, that's great. If it isn't, that's also great. Huard being dismissed for no reason at this juncture? This aggression will not stand, man.

If Huard gets named, we will have the final piece of the puzzle that Phil Knight is UW’s master once and for all.
It makes too much sense in a bizarro world kind of way.
Edited to say I guess I do care who it is.

I think Damon would do well. Fundraising and placing a premium on football is most important.

I’m sure they’ll get another person not from the left coast, so we can have this conversation again in a year or two

Search firms and agents do the hiring.

Brock usually has a good opinion
This list is lazy for the most part and doesn’t drive change into the department
You need a REAL AD moving into the Big10 … not someone learning on the job
I’d be OK considering Barnes on that list … everybody else is a fairly hard no for me

My list would be:
  1. Pat Chun
  2. Scott Barnes
  3. Allen Greene (think he got a raw deal by being pushed to fire Malzahn and then hiring Harsin right before Covid hit).
  4. Ed Scott
