Huard Still Job-Hunting as Name Circulates Through Florida Schools

Sounds like he’s looking at great options that put him further down the depth chart than he currently is. Makes sense.

Sounds like he figures if he’s not going to start might as well be in the sunshine with hot babes
 
I still think he essentially gets "sent down to the minors" and ends up at Cal Poly. If he sucks there then a football career clearly isn't in the cards for him. If he blows up, DeBoer calls him back up to start next year

I have a hard time believing that every P5 and mid major school would bypass him and he'd fall all the way to Cal Poly. Unless of course he simply seeks out a guaranteed starting role.

It's not like he was demonstrably useless in his time here. He's still a former 5 star QB with three years to play three. Plenty of schools with excess scholarships will happily throw one his way and stick him in their open QB battle.

When Cal Poly was first mentioned I assumed Huard had given up on a career as a QB and just wanted to have fun playing out his eligibility. It seemed premature. I also assume there is anlonnlist of P5 teams that would be happy to add him to the depth.

Maybe he just wants to play though. IDK.
 
From a 40 yo perspective, you go to cal poly and get a degree that prints money. For an 18/19/20 you go to ucf and do some fun things that you regret for the rest of your life.

5* QB is headed to Cal Poly.

No power 5 schools said "But he didn't have a senior year of high school. But he missed a year of development because of John Donovan"
 
He seems like a perfect fit for J. Smith as the successor to DJU.

Might not be a bad move if they'll take him. Decent chance DJU struggles during the season or gets hurt and he gets a shot.

There's gotta be at least a dozen p5 schools that would take a 5-star with limited opportunity.

They just hired Huard's HS coach as their OC. I'm surprised Junior Alexander didn't end up there too.
 
Huard couldn’t beat out Morris for two years with two different staffs. That’s damning evidence. He was going to run behind Morris for a third straight year. Maybe, just maybe, Huard knows he’s not a D1 QB and thinks he can have fun and find success in 1AA. I wanted him to be great. I wanted him to be Kellen Moore but it seems obvious that he’s not. Good luck to him.
