Deep thoughts. If Pete isn’t influenced to choose Eason, Heaner never transfers to Fresno. If he’s not at Fresno, most likely DeBoer doesn’t push Oregon and beat UCLA. Without those games Cohen probably doesn’t have KDB on her list of coaching candidates. No DeBoer, no Penix. Further, it’s possible that Heaner is good enough to make chicken salad of Donovan’s chicken shit offense. It’s possible Jimmy is still our coach right now. Let all that sink in. Heaner at Fresno was always a good thing for Husky fans.

I’ll take the cheap shot and say it’s laughable that he considered himself skilled at evaluating teen bois.
Who said anything about a mystery force? The way I read into it, Pete put much time and effort to recruit Eason back to UW. With all the hype that surrounded his return, and the year he sat out there was enormous anticipation and an expectation that the job was his. I remember all the angst on here about why Pete wasn't naming the starting QB as fall camp proceeded to its conclusion. Then with a week to go, Pete names Eason the starter and Haener announces his transfer. It's pretty cut and dried.
You're superficially biased because Haener physically looks like he should be doing your taxes, not leading your favorite football team.
Honestly, Browning looked like he should do your taxes. Heaner looks like he's actually put in some time at the gym in his five or six years of college.
