if you're the starting QB and every time the team needs a pass over 20 yds they bring in lindy? I get the cute wrinkle to the offense, especially when lindy comes in dead cold and throws a strike to ross, but what does this say about your QB when he cant' get the ball down field against Wazzu? Hell, lindy comes in and throws a strike to ross and it actually made me think, wtf, maybe lindy does have a chance at this job next year.

 
That's kind of like saying Ja'Warren Hooker could have been a great wide receiver.

Pretty much this. The Swede has some things going for him, but even I (as someone who has wanted to support him), can remember how bad he looked in his one full game against a really weak defense.
 
I just want a QB who doesn't need to put all his arm into a throw 20 yards downfield.

If Cyler is the QB next year (which I fully expect) the offense needs to utilize his legs better because even when he completes a pass I still cringe.
