I get that people don't like this take because it's not the "winner" mentality, but this is probably the best hand for UW to play at this point. Could be a big win in the short-term if UW can make the playoffs a few times in the next 5-6 years because that would probably get them moved up the food chain and into the Big 10.
If it comes to that, and DeBoer pulls it off, he is at least Dawgfather 2.0 at that point. Possibly slightly ahead due to overall impact on the program's future.
