yes, he won a super bowl (and never came close to repeating that success) but he's a .500 career coach.

The dude is tireless, so I do think he'd have the right temperament for the recruiting game. But a common criticism of him in the NFL was that his scheme was way too complicated, and he had trouble dumbing it down for professionals. The stupidity of college kids would drive him over the edge.
