Yes I'm just finding out myself. Had no idea he was sick. His autobiography is laugh out loud good; I read it twice in fact.

This is bumming me out. He was the greatest.

I've been a huge fan since the first time I saw him.

About 20 years ago, he was a regular headliner at the Mirage in Vegas, and he was notorious for spending hours at the poker tables there. (Rumor on the floor was that part of his gig at the Mirage was in exchange for paying off his gambling debts).

One night, I was fortunate enough to get seated at his table. He was just a normal guy. No shtick, not pretentious at all. Just like a guy you'd have over for your home game, and his attitude made it easy for the entire table to treat him like a normal guy.

No one was star-struck and no one patronized him. Just a bunch of guys playing poker.

Wonderful guy. A very talented man that I'll truly miss.
 
Probably my favorite Norm bit. The Charles Woodson joke slayed the crowd, and Ken Griffey Jr.'s reaction is priceless

Everyone always tells me that Lenny Bruce belongs on all-time comedian lists. I don't know much of his stuff, though. Totally different era of comedy.

Lenny Bruce was an anti establishment comic who paid a price for it. So he gets credit for that

I've never seen even a tape of his act.
