Like I said in the initial post, Brent physical barrels are over $150, a record high, while Brent paper barrels are currently around $100. This is a giant glowing warning signal for the weeks ahead. That spread is extremely abnormal. American domestic supply is irrelevant. Brent sets the global price of oil, not WTI. Oil is a global market. Did I really have to spell it out for you again?

Uh...no. WTI is WTI. Brents is Brents.

Different APIs, different sulfur content, different products altogether.

Like comparing limes and oranges. Both citrus. Try putting an orange in a gin and tonic. Drinkable but shitty.

Not like the lemon party you are used to.

WTI is not relevant to this discussion. Brent functions as the global price setter and last time I checked, we're part of the globe. Oil is very likely going to shoot up everywhere over the next few weeks/months. I got all the screenshots I need.

That's not what you wrote. Backtracking Ern. Like always. WTI is a huge component of the global energy market and Brents is another.

Brents DOESN'T set the global price. Brents is one index for a certain type of crude. WTI is another index for a different type of crude.

The subject is the extremely abnormal price gap between Brent physical and Brent paper barrels. The subject is Brent physical barrels hitting ATH. Care to comment on either of these subjects?
