Except the reports have been that Bama NIL is a mess and not that great. Previous players were going there to be coached by Saban in spite of Bama's poor NIL.
I'd bet Washington could have matched anything Bama offered them.
The only UW OL who portalled to Bama was Brailsford. I’d take him back in a heartbeat, no questions asked.

I've seen this mentioned in sour grapes (a pinot that drinks like an premature merlot btw), including mine, but I think he started the season at starting RG then moved to center when Mele went down?270 lb center that didn't like run blocking nearly as much as pass blocking and wasn't the penciled in starter.
Maybe in DeBoer's offense, but in an actual balanced offense that will use the run properly against defenses not named USC they would've started Gaard or Kalepo or someone with more size, I think. Brailsford could be fine but he was guaranteed a starting spot with Huff there. New OL coach and OC with no history with him could say "what you did in the pac 12 means nothing to me"

Maybe for UW in its current state but my money is on Mack and/or Germie.
I'm excited to see Landen (whenever he is healthy I guess) in an offense that is more run-focused and doesn't require six seconds of protection damn near every play. In-person he really popped against Cal in run blocking. I honestly didn't watch Brailsford enough to judge him.
