Stop rationalizing the loss. This team is so talented but they didn't have the toughness to get it done. All your sissy BS does nothing but piss off the people that actually understand what they are watching. I'm actually fine with it. They beat us twice this year, thus, they are better than us. But the sissy apologetic "well we tried our best" crap makes me want to scream. We should have beat them twice this year. Instead we lost twice. Pretty simple. They are better than us. Any other conclusion is beyond retarded

.....and it's not even close. The season is a failure. This is a historic loss that will sting for years. We got beat on both sides of the ball. They ran the ball down our throats. Will Stein is a finesse OC who's too cute for his own good. Time to get effing drunk

I understand the style matchup issues when they are at full strength. It absokutley sucks to lose in any fashion, and effing sucks to lose to a rival. But it feels much much worse to lose when you have expectations built up and crash because the basis turned out to be bogus.

What happened to all the injuries that kept UW playing like crap this past month... and suddenly matching big holes across our D to make it worse. All that added to build up the (now) ridiculous expectations these past weeks and the huge point spread. Master rope a dope?

Where's the injured second and third receiver. Where's the hobbled Dillon. Where's the cracked ribs or glow stick huffing Penix (???) who can't throw to the right.

Where's all that quality depth we thought we enjoyed along the D to weather the harsh Novembers. All that came to a head tonight in a perfect storm.

Anyhow - expectations are the worst enemy of fans. We'll undoubtedly build it all back up through the spring and summer and do it all over again. See ya there so save me a seat ;-)

As many of you have heard Kalen DeBoer won college coach of the year and unfortunately they will be tagging along with us to the Big-10

Now,

We all have to be honest, DeBoer can flat out COACH! His OC and DC are no slouches either. I've heard it said several times by the media that "IF" UW faces Bama in the championship and wins, that it will be a passing of the torch from Saban to DeBoer as the next big thing coach. 103-11 overall DeBoer is impressive!

Here's my problem with all this. Yes, DeBoer is on lock these last two years with what he's done at UW. BUT he can't recruit! Saban on the other hand is the gold standard & Bama recruits itself! This Bama recruiting dominance I think will show up in the national championship game "if" these two teams meet.

So, as Duck fans, we know Oregon can recruit and get the transfers BUT how long will it take Lanning and company to get to coaching level of DeBoer and UW and will our recruiting be the difference till Dan gets the experience? Pray in the meantime that DeBoer and UW never learn how to recruit.

To me, next year will be the real measuring stick for us against UW. Finding another Penix, Odunze, McMillan wont be easy for DeBoer and I'd say our recruiting is 3 years ahead of what UW could only hope for today

This discourse is incredibly annoying to me, I just have to say. We've had the lead late in all 3 games against them and now we are perpetually punished because they won a few 50/50 plays at the end of our games. "Kalen" had nothing to do with Williams not picking off that lame duck pass, Lewis missing the field goal, Nix getting hurt last year, and once again Williams not reading an out route on 3 down. If we convert that 4th down in game 2 we would never hear about these guys again
 
The Ducks’ excuse machine seems to have a worn belt. That sound is awfully squeaky.

you know the coach is good, when opposing teams want him to get his own guys in there caz he is kick their ass with the ingredients from the prior coach
 
I think Lanning is a great coach unless it’s a big game, which means he’s perfect to carry on the long Oregon tradition of being flyover country fucking losers.
 
He said our D coaches weren’t slouches. What does he know that I don’t?
