My gut feeling is this season is going to surprise everyone. It's either going to be 6-6 awful and the running joke from now to eternity will be " yeah, but Bill Bellicheck was at practice!) Or we will squeak into the playoffs and UW will officially be Bagman U competing for Natties every 3 years

In theory, Michigan has already been throttled by Sark at home, but a close loss or win could make the narrative and future fortunes shake rattle and roll. Either way, Wolverine shall sit 5-0 or 4-1 @ 5-0 UW on Montlake October 5th. The spines tingle.
Montlake, Oct 5th, is this year's Oct 14th. The season hangs in the balance at that point. I'll be there.
What about..

This is what I've been preaching. I'm pretty sure PGOS agrees, if he doesn't then obviously BigErn and I are idiots, but still...
Win the gaymes we are supposed to early, get Michigan infront of a sold out Husky Stadium, have a functioning defense and score a handful of tims, we get better free pub, rankings rise to then be slaughtered by Iowa or Penn St, give the people what they want

if they do start Rogers it will be interesting to see if they try and insert Williams at all.

I hadn’t really thought of it recently but the Big 10 teams generally don’t face very many dynamic passing games and QBs and each year other than Ohio State, who has dominated the conference outside of Michigan the past 3 years. If the incoming Pac teams can have their OLs and defenses hold up enough and not be one dimensional they could have an advantage coming in.

case in point in 2021 UW easily could have made it a game against CFP bound Michigan in Ann Arbor if Jimmy had brought in a Pac-12 level QB and that was with their 3 best WRs out because Michigan’s passing game and QB we’re so bad and their pass D wasn’t that great

The offense will be fine, Coleman and Cam are going to be a great 1,2 punch, Rogers can move the ball. The OL is blown out of proportion, but could very well be the weakest link. The D will be good, Interior DL could be suspect, especially in the B1G. Beat Michigan in October and see what happens.

It took Fisch a year (and an injured starting QB, right?) to get his reads down at Arizona.
This isn't my sole reason, but it's one of them. This is a better roster than what he started with there, but it has some missing pieces and hardly any continuity. I think it will be a mess until I see otherwise.
I predict a rough start and then a rally (wait til the midget freshman QB takes over!) and maybe a little momentum going into shitbowl season. 7-6 or 8-5 ish.
This is my biggest fear with Fisch. We bought high based on a breakout year led by a QB that he had on the bench behind Jayden de Laura (yikes). Also a QB that didn't follow him here.

In fairness the whole Arizona team took a huge leap. It wasn't just the QB. That was a good zona skwad.

DeLaura was still seen as one is the best quarterbacks in the conference going into 2023.
Fisch shouldn't have let it get to the point where he has 5+ turnovers in one game though.

yeah people are overplaying the mistake of De Laura over Fifita. Even after last year I still think de Laura has a higher ceiling but was just prone to also melting down and Fifita was better at just taking what the system gave him with the great pieces Fisch developed and mostly brought in around him. The 2022 UW D was trash but De Laura damn near pulled off the upset in Husky Stadium
