I'll let Dennis handle it, all I know is that I hope we bury him in the autzen turf and the place becomes cursed because of his body.
 
It isn't fair to the true frosh at all. Helfrich is stupid (WIW). He's going to be hit 1000 times and traumatized and be (unfairly) labeled as the QB who blew the streak against hated UW.

He'll be extremely damaged goods by this time next week.
 
Herbert was a baller in HS. Broke his leg inhis jr year or probably would've had a ton of offers.

6-5ish, runs really well, quick release, big arm, accurate. I guess you might compare him to (ISAFNRC) Deshaun Watson or maybe Brett Hundley.

Really talented kid. I wanted UW to grab him, but he was always a lock to the Ducks.

I see it as Helfrich doing whatever he can to save his job by going young. He knows he can't win much with Prokrup so he'd rather go with Herbert and desperately hope he can finish the year strong to sneak into a bowl game while looking towards next season.

Don't know if it will work with a true frosh QB, 4 RS-Frosh OL, and a porous defense but I'm guessing that's his only hope for getting an extra year.

TL,DR entire thread but this screams loudly that Helfrich is Door. Ass. Out. couch whatever.
