Henry Bainivalu commits

I recall Chest used to say that you needed to be above 3.5 on the per player star average to have truly elite classes...and that we usually had 3.2-3.3 classes but just stuffed 30 bodies in them during the Sark years to inflate the class to top 20. I'm not sure if he is right, but his logic always made sense to me. Interesting to see if we have a high per player average when all the dust settles. Do punters count in that?

For the most part the elite schools take in classes with an average star ranking of about 3.6-3.8 so in general he is correct.

We will end up with an average star ranking of around 3.8 i think. So yes this is an elite class

For reference, since the online star thing began (2002), UW has only had 1 class with 10 4-star recruits. That was Sark's 2nd class where he took like 32 players and not everyone qualified. That class also had several 4-star guys who did not have the offers to warrant their ranking and a bunch of bottom feeder guys who had terrible or non-existant offer lists

This class currently has 11 4-stars and only 14 or 15 commits. Every single one of those 4-star players has multiple "big-time" offers (USC, Michigan, etc.). Two of our 3-star guys (Otton and Jones) have pretty impressive offer lists (USC, Nebraska, Oregon, etc.). This class blows away any class we've had over the last 15 years.

How many stars did Henry Roberts have?

Punters and kickers aren't people so they don't count.

This. I'm still bitter about the loss but everything else about this season has been a fantastic improvement.

Now it can get derailed in the Apple Cup but I'm confident we will beat WSU.

He looks like a monster next to the coaches
cardboard cutouts.

Should be a good guard. Well done. We want some more. Missing eldrenkamp showed you can't have enough capable linemen.
