Liked at the tim quite a bit, but has not held up for me. It did give rise to an early encounter with SJW culture. I was in school at Tim with this real bitch. She was complaining about appropriation of pagan culture in The movie.

Same as splitskin for me. I liked it when it was new. Then one day I realized I couldn't stand Mel Gibson, his posing and preening, and his WAY over the top need to drag dramatic scenes out with repetitive and unnecessary slow motion.

No blame from me. It, uh, really drags in places. The performances were the best part, Mel in particular. Check out Zahler’s first two movies if you haven’t already. Apparently he’s branded as a “conservative” filmmaker, which I don’t get at all, don’t see any agenda in his stuff. Bone Tomahawk, holy shit.
