Hawk offseason issues

Maybe this clunker of a season will motivate some of these guys.

Maybe, but the opportunity window isn't getting any wider.

It's not, but the core guys are still relatively young. Most are under 30 and a lot are 26 or 27. They ought to have another two or three more years for sure.

It's extremely difficult to make a SB three years straight. The Pats, Colts, Steelers, and Giants have all had some gaps between their appearances. I figured a 10-6 or 11-5 "off year" or two or three were probably likely.

This. The core group is young and the only major overhaul needed is the O-line.

Agree with Tequilla on Lynch being gone and cutting Graham. Our offense was arguably better without them, although Marshawn is a big part of the team's identity -- I'm not sure how his hold-out last weekend went over AKA either way it'll be interesting. I think Earl is fine but Kam is on the outside looking, skill-wise and contract wise.

OL is far and away the greatest position group of need. With money saved from Lynch/Graham, the Hawks should be able to sign some people here and upgrade by default. I am fucking done with Okung. His injury history and his propensity for at least 1 penalty a game is tiring and I think his best years are behind him, which for a LT is frightening.

If Bruce Irvin wants to take less money to come back to the team I'm OK with that, but I feel like he's JAG and benefits from the rest of the DL's skills. About the DL, re-structure Bennett's deal, he's worth the $ and did things the right way (LOL).

Re-sign Lane, Kearse, Shead, and Ginger Ryan. Keep Rubin, Sweezy, Mebane if the price is right.
