The DEWs were in Hawaii.

And probably Kelowna BC of all places.

Arson is always in play. But I usually go for the easiest explanation. Which is dumbfuckery.

The conditions were as ripe as you possibly could get. And somethin as simple as a car pulling off into some tall grass could get it done.

People focus on the falls and the beach fronts and ignore the drive from the airport that spells out what a fucking tinder box that island is.

I was talking about Spokane. But you’re right about Maui.

When we had the Firestorm near here in 2020. We lost like 3,000 homes throughout the state. In Southern Oregon, they took out whole neighborhoods. In the Santiam Canyon, it was a checkerboard of which house burned to the ground and the one next to it unfazed. And many of the ones untouched had thick vegetation up against them. Weird stuff.

One theory I’ve heard and kind of buy into is the houses with clean gutters had a better chance to make it. But the ones with packed gutters burned to the ground.
