Last I checked Jimmy makes a hell of a lot more money than Jenn does.Again, Jimmy has shown some concerns but people are so crazy up there that he's probably cancelled if he comes out saying how all this is bullshit.
This is 100% on Jen imo.
First time head coach. Tolerable buyout. C- recruiting class.
Not sure that pissing off his boss in an area w these kind of covid measures is something many people would do unless they want out of Washington anyways.
And as I far as I can tell the staff still wants to be at Washington even after this shitshow.
He's also a first-year coach. Dong James had established himself, professionally and financially, when he told UW to GFO. Any of us would take care of our position and make some money first before rolling the dice and pissing off the higher ups.
He may make more money, but he doesn't decide his own fate.[/b]
Seems to me yet another reason why he isn't the guy and it's better to move on.
What I mean by that is, he serves at the pleasure of others. Sure, like super valuable salesmen who don't run the company, the better they are, the more discretion they have within the organization. So they are de facto principals. Until they stop producing.
Saban and Dabo have that clout. Urbs one had that clout.
Jimmy is a first year coach. As much as I like to bust chops with the locals about Jimmy Lake Ballz, he is totally LIPO all around. Coaching, recruiting, etc. The kids did seem to be bought in, the Stanford anal rape notwithstanding. And we? know he can recruit.
But I can't myself get behind the idea that he breaks the power structure at his own school and risks his job over such an abortion of a season. DJ's situation with upper campus was quite different and DJ was in a much different bargaining position. Nobody should reasonably expect Jimmy to do DJ shit just yet.
Win a few Rose Bowls, at least, and he can swing his dick around like you want him to. Right now he's a defensive coordinator who got a huge promotion and he's still moving his shit into his new office.
