Consider even that 4/5 OL are gone and Gonzalez at CB (Yes, I'm aware there are guys who dominated Colorado who are fucking better. I know).

I don't know if it's even just Oregon but I wouldn't be surprised if programs put a lot of work in making LBs better at coverage and scheming them better. UW and other passing offenses really seemed to take them out of the game last year and take advantage of them and it could make a big difference if that's improve. For UW too, though.

The entire ILB group is overhauled save Bassa. It's not that they put in the work. Hill, Boettcher, Soelle, and Jackson didn't play there or redshirted. It's not that they put in more work, it's that they fit the prototype better.

No one is saying our dbs are better than Gonzalez. The secondary had holes last year and, as a whole, the sum is greater. Tysheem Johnson, Evan Williams, and Kyhree Jackson are taking the lion's share of the snaps and they were all portal transfers.

It's hard to take it seriously when Oregon replaced half the scholarship roster year over year.
