Hardcore Husky Podcast: Take our Offensive Coordinator, Please

Fisch is nothing like Petersen
He just put in a season that resembles half of Petersen's years.
He had to beat Southern Mississippi to avoid the 6-7.
And his 2014 8-6 record was padded with a bunch of shitty teams.

I see the season comparisons I don't see much in common between the coaches. The big ones to me would be both being stubborn about offensive control even though they might suck at offense and loving small QBs.

Who's Cliff? @CliffDawg

My guess is that Fisch will end up being Mike Bellotti 2.0. I'm hoping for better, of course.

There was plenty of doubt whether Petersen could replicate his previous success during and after the 2014 season.

With that being said, this is the portal/NIL era. The timeline for success is so much shorter now. This season will tell us everything. No excuses Jeddediah.

Yeah hard to compare because the game is so different. If 2014 was now a coach is fighting to keep the NFL guys on defense and piece together a decent offense and QB in the portal. If you used Petersen's approach in Jedd's first year of OKG and shit you go 2-10 last year.

This year will tell us everything and last year didn't really tell us much.
I don't give a shit which former coach he actually ends up being like. Right now he's kind of a Jimmy Lake-esque coach but swap out bringing back the Helmet car for actually recruiting hard.
