I had a diehard diehard Coug fan teacher in high school. He taught a BS class called Historical Personalities and the big project of the class was you had to recite a famous speech by a historical figure. I did Price's crybaby "whatever happened to second chances" speech after he got fired. Teacher was married to a batshit insane woman who'd show up at the school and make scenes. Later found out he might have only liked her because her dad was a defensive coordinator under Walden. Respect.
I had a hs/middle school teacher who played baseball at WSU and when I was in his class for the first time, he looked at my sweatshirt and went off on this tangent about how WSU's entrance essay/exam was much harder than UW's and drew 3 lines on a piece of printer paper that would otherwise make the shape of a square and said, "Here's UW's entrance exam: Complete the picture!" To this day I kind of respect the hate he had in his life for Washington.
The 70+ year old quook teacher I had that sent Rick a box of tissue paper after he lost a recruit to Oregon was the other major fan teacher highlight.
