I like Marcel Reece. I posted his 96 yard TD pass reception on youtube (longest TD pass ever for UW), then posted it on his FB page. He thanked me repeatedly. Nice guy.

Such a painful season - we blew like four games with leads late, including that one where we were up by 15 with 12 minutes left and lost by 7.
 
A few things I forgot to mention, people asked for:
  1. I'm surprised we haven't gotten bigger gains on read option. There were like 5 times the camera was fooled with who had the ball. I remember a play against CSU where the entire crowd thought Muhammad had the ball and was rumbling but instead Demond got blown up at the LOS. Seems like Demond needs to get better at getting his reads down.
  2. For the second straight week I'm concerned about WR separation. Pretty often Demond drops back and there's no one, even when he has a ton of time. He won't be able to run his way out of those situations against better teams.
  3. I've seen a few times where Demond starts to scramble and he's still behind the LOS and has a guy like Coleman open 20 yards downfield but runs and has them block instead of throwing. Seems like that could be something that could frustrate teammates.
 
I thought Rome had a punt return td against Cal that year, plus he obviously won 2-3 other games or at least the critical moments of them. Forgot how that was as big of a sin as screwing Penix out of the Heisman that year.
 
Maryland, UCLA, and WSU are all automatic wins, those teams are so clearly dreadful. All you have is Lore to argue against UW safely beating them.
WSU's head coach dresses like he's also the head S&G coach which could actually be the case.

UCLA will inexplicably have one of their best games against UW for the season while rolling over for a good chunk of the rest of their schedule. Same as it ever was.

1-0 vs FUCLA since the true conference of champions died. @caronabruin
 
We managed to convincingly beat a UCLA team that somehow had a handful of NFL guys on it, and a Garbers at QB. We may have turned the tide.
I'm not taking the bait with Coug or UCLA until the games are over though.
Watched the Coug extended highlights against SDSU and they look like the kind of shitty scrappy WSU team that always gives us trouble.
