Hardcore Husky Podcast: Not our Best Effort

I put this on in the car otwh from church and my wife asked why you guys are so negative and how come the show host didn't actually watch the spring game.
I agree with Joey, Seattle traffic time on a Friday don't expect families outside of the area to want to come to this. I had gone every year since 2020 and he's right that after the first half hour or so you're already thinking about what you want to do afterwards.
This shit is for recruits now and Jedd just wants 30k butts in seats for optics, and maybe it's always been that way but thinking back to 2010 and Locker's last spring game it has definitely changed for the worst for the fans.
I drove 5.5 hrs to park in E1/E18 on Friday, but I didn't go to the spring game.
I was drinking all the free beers at the Varsity Boat Club 2025 Reunion at the Conibear Shell House that my $50 donation could buy!! Strong turn out from the Yella era guys. Pretty light on @whlinder era.
The porking lot seemed quite full.

I was about signed up with a hotel and everything and was thinking about putting it out there if anyone was going to go, but my kid had a t-ball game Friday and if you're skipping your kid's t-ball game to go get high and drink beers that donate probably a fraction of a penny to your team's NIL for a glorified practice, then you have problems.
The other thing is just that I didn't really have that much fun last year when he changed the format, and I stay in Bellevue and make more of an effort to find cooler stuff there for this thing.

It's moments like this where I really fucking hate 2025 Vanilla.
I can't quote this post and a do a strike through to say "on the way home from your church group potluck on Wednsday and how your wifey prefers your interweb history shows that as she checks it daily"

She only directly and intentionally shits on this podcast if she starts hearing me, as coming from a beavlet family and going to school with me, she's already heard my greatest hits on Oregon a million times.

Listened to the pod. Re players who wore number 1: Odunze and Chris Polk.

Can’t believe you forgot them.

That’s the joke. I’ll chalk it up as a thud. WoolleyDoogs uncle said after the first game of 2024 “ hey that Jonah Coleman is the best guy to wear number one since Warren Moon”

In a prior pod we named all the others, including Lonzell Mo Hill and Reggie Williams. Even Mike Lansford who was an All-American

Just listened. I don’t know how many beverages @WoolleyDoog consumed the night before, but I’d wager it was double digits. I’m not sure a participation ribbon is even warranted for this one. @Joey carried this episode, he gets the game ball. @DerekJohnson, your jokes weren’t quite as bad as Woolley and Joey made them seem. How many combined edibles did you guys eat before hitting record? DJ forgot who Deion Sanders is for God’s sake. The over/under is 5, as always. We had some rabbit holes in this one, but any football pod where you can mention Cyndi Lauper and Alex Jones has to be chalked up as a win.

Get these guys some coffees/Redbull/meth before the next one.👍🏻👍🏻

For the record, I was already sick and then made the mistake of drinking eight drinks on Saturday when I shouldn't have. I am not proud of my performance.
It's pretty Inside Baseball, but one of the best parts of my uncle's Jonah Coleman first good #1 player since Moon was he immediately got called out at Rome Odunze, Reggie Williams, Chris Polk, etc and he stood his ground explaining it was the first one he could remember.

Well, not quite. I didn't forget who he was. But prior to recording, we were discussing the passing of Deion Brown. And then a few minutes into the show, Joey references "Deion" and my mind went straight to Deion Brown, which is why I sounded confused.
