Washington beats Cal 28-21 to up its record to 6-2. Through a series of Seinfeld references we determine that its a 6-2 that feels like a 4-4. Try as we might to be positive, we also had to point out the things that are wrong or concerning. It turns out to be a pod that has a bit of everything. Shout outs include the UW offensive line, Leon Neal, Regan Schenck, Cage Schenck, @Houhusky, @PostGameOrangeSlices, @GrundleStiltzkin, @Logistics, @RaceBannon, @haie, @1to392831weretaken, @LawDawg1, @SonnyShackelford, @TheHB, @HHBruh, @Fire_Marshall_Bill, and @hardhat.

Oregon State and Washington State, especially beavlet, matches up very poorly against us on both sides of the ball. Anything less than 3-1 down the stretch is a massive failure.

Yeah, the Jaydn Ott stuff is hilarious. He had one blistering game against the worst defense in the conference, to where averaging 90 yards a game actually shows how pedestrian he is at best.

A ton, TON of these guys were just massive whiffs by the Petersen staff.

Dom Hampton, Julius Irvin, Asa, Cam Williams, etc were supposed to be the next great group of dbs along with Gordon and McDuffie. It's not even a development thing, they don't have the same mentality as Jones, King, Baker, even Rapp as a freshman.

Thank you for the shout-out Derek.

Logistics business has never been better and I've certainly been busy trying to get the supply chain up to speed. It has been tough sledding.

Still burning the midnight oil.

San Jose’s DC Derrick Odom is intriguing. SJSU played Auburn really tough and I doubt anyone of us thinks we could hold Auburn to 24 points.

Commentary on Oregon recruiting was spot on. Their advantage of UW is more mental than anything as most of their new standouts like Gonzalez, Nix, Bucky, Cota are portal transfers.

As long we’re healthy we’ll play Oregon well enough. We get up for that game..even last season when we had zero confidence we played a half hard and then realized it wasn’t gonna happen and went in the tank.

This team is mentally soft and the Coaches are complicit. You don’t make a Portal transfer a Captain. Period. They have to earn it and look at the JAGness of our portal transfers as testament to why

Loved the commentary about the primma Donna players and horrible portal decisions. Today 5 star players are as much about program marketing as much as hoping to field impact players. JTT struggles at OSU, Bynum incomprehensible transfer to stacked WR corps at USC. The college football graveyard is littered with the bones of once promising players that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

“You only remember the games in November”. I get the sense that Penix was playing for stats a bit. I remember the magic at Indiana where he threw a lot of 50/50 balls up. 4 games to go…let them fly. The QB achievement stats prize has been unlocked.

Oregon is only -12 at Cal this week. I think our spread in a few weeks will be under 10. If the weather is good we have a decent shot to win.

Take all the screenshots you need

I think UW will favored by more than 3 against the Beavers. We're just not a good matchup for them. They're not strong in the passing attack. Last year they just ran the blueprint and ran over us like all other teams did but this year the UW is stout against the run. They're not going to get enough on the ground and they're not going to be able to make it up in their. Provided the weather doesn't absolutely suck UW pulls away mid 3rd qtr.

Listened to podcast: I got a DeBoner about San Jose State's DC, who is having a very good year. Alas, it didn't last four hours because I looked at West Coast Sparty's defensive stats from 2016-2021 (Derrick Odum's tenure as DC).

Not impressive.

Oregon has a well documented[/b] ___________ problem[/b]. It will be a close game

Does Dwayne Washington have any idea of the profound legacy he lent to Hardcore Husky?

@DerekJohnson

Thanks for the shoutout. The line has been better than I expected in pass pro. Run blocking still needs some work. Short yardage situations are iffy

@RaceBannon can issue a formal apology to Huff
