Hardcore Husky goes real life

Sometimes, I reach into the big bag of information I get from HH and use it in real life.

BRB, JO - gets me a good laugh
81% sure ... gets me strange looks
Laughing when Dave was gone, no warning ... just gone - gets me looks like I'm an asshole

Today ... I was in a meeting with a number of directors and our VP, we were talking about our division and how it is customer facing. I started discussing how our division is the first many customers will come in contact with ... it is almost like ... the front porch.

The VP about blew a load he liked it so much.

I came up with it from HH influence.

"I started discussing how our division is the first many customers will come in contact with"

Technically speaking, this could be the cash register at Burger King.

Or the door greeters at Wal-Mart.

The "needs more time" excuse should never be used in front of execs, but is a great laugh when you hear execs use it in front of you

I always found it amusing when I worked in publicly traded companies and the VP's would start our sales calls with ... I don't want to hear about potential, and I don't want to hear about the weather.

And then during earnings announcements the CEO and CFO would explain to the street how weather impacted sales ... or the potential of new markets we were entering.
