Well it's that time of year again. As the recent coaching search has shown, there's still much interest in the UW football program. We've seen it in the traffic increase here as well as in the flurry of donations that have come in, even though it's not August (Fundraiser Month). Seriously, it's a shot in the arm to see the support and gives me motivation to keep running the site and podcasting with the Skagit Bros. (as I continue the fight to rekindle my love for Husky Football.)

Tomorrow also marks Hardcore Husky's 9th anniversary, as well as the birthday of a certain Uber driver.

Typing that out makes me realize how much of my life has been wasted on these boreds when I could’ve been out taking a walk in nature to get some much needed perspective. Oh well, who gives a fuck?

IIRC, the HHB website started in late 2007 with lots of hot Mora action and breaking news that Stalin was onboard. It was soon followed by lots of reported posts like this one from Grandpa Race:

Hardcore Husky launched on November 26, 2012. In December, we had 28,000 page views for the month. It was basically me, Race, Sven, Nacho, Damone, Mooser42 and a handful of others talking to each other. I was a little bit worried, and relentlessly marketed on Facebook ("Come to the cool boards") and emailed and called everyone I knew. By July 2013, Vanilla was calling me because they noticed the rapid growth of the site and wanted me to upgrade to their Enterprise level at $1,500 a month. Part of the growth was in thanks to K-Grizzle, who that summer had started banning people again and giving time outs.

We also had our first sponsor in August 2013, which was a bounty hunter who met with me at a Chinese restaurant and insisted on sitting so he could see who was coming through the front door.

What site was the one where yhe message board link wasnt obvious and it was almost you had to be told by someone where to click to get in. I remember being told it was a message board where you could cuss up a storm and talk shit and real football talk without big brother. After hearing that i was wanting in. I was done with dawgman wanting something different and also because i was in the "free damone" camp and was getting too many timeouts.

HuskyHalfBrains.com existed from 2007-2010. There was HHBv.2 but it didn't last very long. I think it was shut down somewhere around March 2011.
