Probably my favorite play of the game. I remember watching the angle from other side of the field and thinking of the old Vince Lombardi clip, “a seal here, and a seal here …”

What kills me about that spin move is he did it literally every single Tim and UW defenders never thought to adjust their angle to him. I remember when Eason and Browning used to try that back shoulder spin shit and go down in a heap each time they did it.

Terrible spot. It wasn’t 6” off, it was a yard & half off.
Yup, my initial reaction was he was close and worse case was 4th and inches and then they marked it a yard and a fucking half. I almost fell out of my chair which can obviously be tricky for a man of my proportions.

This deep pitch play that worked several times seems to be a new wrinkle. Gives a little time for blocks to execute and lets the big johnson get up a head of speed. Team seemed to execute it well. Am I the only one not remembering us doing this in prior games?

They did it once or twice against Stanford or ASU IIRC. But it was definitely a new emphasis. Curious if it was USC specific or something we'll use going forward.

At a minimum, they’re at least showing the boot and if you watch Rome, he turns back like he might get a pass
