My favorite thing about rewatching Penix highlights is to pay attention to where he's throwing from and to. This is a freaking laser from the 40 yard line, far hash, to the corner of the end zone. Who else makes throws like that regularly?

I was watching the end of MNF last night with the Chiefs facing 4th and 20 something. Aikman was talking about how, with Mahomes, that was still a very convertible 4th down. Then Mahomes uncorked a catchable rocket that very nearly extended the drive. It was impressive as I didn't realize his arm was that strong. A few plays earlier he threw a near perfect, 55yard bomb that was dropped. Both were amazing but I sat there thinking about how many times I've seen Penix make the same throws.

I hope sitting Jackson rest of the way is worth it

Just wanted to point out that he isn't being sat the rest of the way, only for the apple cup. Games after that don't count against his eligibility according to Grubb.

Bruener plays every down like hes in squid game

Breuner is this generations Chris Stevens. Every time he is he is a playmaker and nobody understands why he doesn't play more.

Perhaps Carson is only the second guy in the gym and 3rd or 4th last guy to leave?

And on that note I think we can give up the hope entirely that Ulofoshio is anything more than a jag

Powell had a tough night. He's pretty damn good as the slot corner. He's pretty damn bad everywhere else

He shows up making a play here and there. If you watch enough he shows up missing plays way more often, a step or two slow and struggling to disengage blockers. I started feeling like he was the weakest link in the ILB unit a few games into the season.

I'm team Bruener. I don't see how he isn't UW's best linebacker by a wide margin.

Any chance you can provide a GIF of the play where Penix runs for a 1st down on 3rd and long, delivering a crucial stiffarm against a would-be tackler along the way? The people I was watching the game with were fascinated by how excited I got on that play. It was the moment I realized that I didn't just really like Penix...I love him.
