So many I'd like to comment on but I have a bad thumb right now and it's not easy to type.

I got my brother interested in UW and the race against Oregon this year. He's not a Husky fan or even a football fan anymore though he played it at a high level as a kid and did quite a bit of youth coaching too.

Anyways, after the game he tells me that Nix is going to be a good pro. (I replied " you mean check down Charlie?"). Says that his passes are spot on and he always hits his guys in stride. Penix throws balls in the area and his great receivers just make adjustments to save him.

So I told him to rewatch or check some highlights and pay attention to the relative difficulty of the passes Penix is throwing nearly every drop back compared to Nix. He's routinely making ridiculous throws like this one covering 40+ yards in the air into tight windows and awkward angles. Passes like the one above are hard to hit in shells with no defense.

He called the next day and admitted that Penix is playing a different game and that it's more impressive. I know he's loathe to admit it. He doesn't want to like UW for some reason, plus he dislikes lefties as a matter of policy (which I don't really disagree with but make an exception for Penix).
