Yes, but very different look to it after Oregon.
He had to take a knee in the postgame interview and hugged his mom uncontrollably sobbing for an extremely long time after oregon if I remember. I think it's health issues and has been since that game. Seemed to be okay vs usc/utah/boov but this was back to square 1 vs the cougs.

I can't imagine the stress Penix must've been under with the whole Heisman push, and then to add injuries/illness on top of that...poor guy. Definitely a tough kid to play through all that.

Up there with the Tuputala drop in the 2023 annals of UW shooting it’s own dick off.
For 10 games that is a Polk catch. Watching the replay, the ball was actually in really good position, and it bounced off Polk's shoulder pad and right into Hicks hands.
While Penix did indeed misfire on many throws, he didn't get any help at all on about 4 or 5.
