Grubb interview

That interview made my doog meter hit the limit. He really knows his shit.

I dont know if it's still available but I remember listening to JonDon's kjr interview when he got hired and it was the complete opposite. He didn't know the names of the players, mumbled through the interview, and showed no enthusiasm at all

The only interview I recall him doing was the one with Damon Huard where he said he doesn't like recruiting.
 
I listened as well, and was impressed. Basically confirmed that Rome was staying. Told Sam and Dylan right away they were looking to bring in an experienced QB. He also mentioned that we get to enjoy another QB competition.
 
Kids respond better to coaches who are organized and truthful. DeBoer's staff seems like a vast improvement (low bar, I know) over Lake's dummasses but even in obective terms they "get" how to coach players.

If you watch Fresno tape from last year the players always look spirited and commited to what they are doing.
 
Sounds pretty solid. I like him quite a bit, and it's not just because he kind of looks like me.

Fairly low bar here, but I remember that when Pete's staff filled out and the dust settled, the only assistants that were at all impressive to hear speak were Choate and Lake. Petersen, of all people, was the most dynamic personality on the staff. When Choate bailed I was pretty depressed that UW had lost one of the only likeable guys on staff.

I like this staff 10X better from a personality standpoint. That's more important than I used to be willing to accept.

I think Pete was a bit of a brittle narcissist and did not like competing personalities. Even Kwat was super low-key. Jimmy was just a bullshitter.

JonDon only had 4 months to prepare for his first press conference too.

On the contrary, I've never seen a Husky team as disinterested or listless as I saw at Michigan or at OSU.

A funeral had more energy than those sidelines.

Tedford having to do a double take at DeBoer's record.

HH podcast talking about DB going 67-3 and wanting to go big time.

They could have passed on UW and gotten another gig elsewhere next year.

Watching DB not call off the dogs against SJS was a sign.

This dude is pre burnout Petersen with a modern college system.

Fuck everyone.
